Elysian Park

Location

Elysian Park was set aside for public use when Los Angeles was founded in 1781. The second largest city park in L.A., 600-acre Elysian retains much of its natural chaparral, a landscape crisscrossed with hiking trails. At the central picnic area are barbeque pits, a small man-made lake, and a children's play area.
