Located in the Puente Hills, and owned by the Puente Hills Habitat Preservation Authority, Sycamore Canyon provides exceptional hiking into beautiful riparian habitat. The entrance is off of Workman Mill Road. Enter an open gate and continue on the road to the parking lot. Keep to the left at all forks in the road. Water runs in the stream year-round. Many large, old California sycamores and coast live oaks, as well as arroyo and black willows line the canyon. The road ends in Dark Canyon, a beautiful and pristine oak woodland that feels isolated and peaceful.
