Wood Ranch Open Space

Wood Ranch Open Space Park is located in the rolling hills and canyons south of Wood Ranch, stretching from Long Canyon Road southward, nearly to the ridgeline of the Simi Hills. The property contains a rich variety of plant types, including extensive oak woodlands, coastal sage scrub, chaparral, and grasslands. A trail dedicated to the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District already crosses the land, providing public access and magnificent views across Simi Valley to the Santa Susana Mountains, and southward to Conejo open space and the Santa Monica Mountains.

Directions: The trailhead is where Wood Ranch Parkway and Long Canyon Road deadend into

each other in Simi Valley - the far southern end of either road.
